A Summer of Adventure, Exploration, and Connection
Following the success of our first summer camp, we are excited to announce that Westdale Nature School will offer another seven weeks of summer camp in Summer 2025.
Our summer camp offers children ages 3 - 7 years old a chance to experience the pure joy and wonder of summer.
Emphasizing simple, nature-filled fun, children spend most of the day outdoors, exploring, playing, and connecting with their peers.

What We Offer
Outdoor Adventure: Our outdoor space, surrounded by large maple trees that provide shade on hot days, is perfect for all kinds of summer fun. From creating masterpieces in the mud kitchen and sensory tables to enjoying water play, children have endless opportunities for creative expression.
Physical Activity: Exercise and outdoor sports are integrated into each day, helping children stay active, healthy, and engaged.
Gardening and Responsibility: Children take part in tending to gardens that began from winter seeds, learning to weed, water, and pick the ripest tomatoes. This hands-on activity fosters a sense of responsibility and connection to nature.
Relaxation and Reflection: There’s plenty of time for quiet reflection with relaxing, lazy afternoons spent reading books or daydreaming in peaceful corners of our outdoor setting.
Arts and Crafts: Creative nature crafts, coloring activities, and opportunities to express artistic ideas will spark children’s imaginations and enhance their summer experience.
Social and Creative Development: Circles, songs, group games, and cooperative building activities—like using logs and tarps to create tents, ships, and obstacle courses—encourage teamwork, socializing, and problem-solving. Adventure games and imaginative play inspire new stories and exciting discoveries.
