Parent and Child
Exploring Nature, Building Community, and Creating Lifelong Memories
The program offers a nurturing and engaging environment where parents and children between the ages of 1 and 4 can bond, learn, and explore together. This 10-week session once a week, invites families to immerse themselves in nature as they watch the beauty of spring unfold. With the guidance of our Forest Guide, families embark on weekly adventures filled with stories, songs, and creative activities designed to foster connection and exploration.
Each week, participants gather at the RBG trailhead at Churchill Park where they are welcomed by our Forest Guide for a leisurely walk through the forest. There, children and their caregivers enjoy circle time, sharing stories, singing songs, creating natural crafts, and reflecting on their experiences. The program offers a hands-on opportunity to engage with nature's changing landscape.
This program is designed for parents or guardians and their children between the ages of 1 and 4, creating a sense of community and a chance to develop lifelong friendships. Additional children under the age of 1 are welcome to join at no extra charge—please let us know in advance.
